The power of positive words

In one of our counselling sessions with students, I met a child who had issues with negative thoughts about herself.

As I was speaking positive words into her life, she was countering it with negative words. At a point I held her and looked straight into her eyes and said, “I don’t care what others have told you or what you think about yourself, but I see a great child and am not giving up on you”. She was broken and agreed finally

This is the case of so many children and teenagers. They develop negative mindset due to the mistakes they have made in the past or negative words spoken in their direction from people close to them.

If not properly handled this children will begin to have psychological and emotional issues. Affirmative words are very important in handling children and teenagers. Every parent, teacher and child care giver learn to use Affirmative words consistently on children and teenagers.
